Young Endeavor CrewFrom the 1 Jan – 28 Feb the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme accepts applications for voyages in 2010. Voyages depart from Mackay, Airlie Beach, Cairns, Townsville, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Devonport. Apply at www.youngendeavour.gov.au or phone 1800 020 444 for an application pack.

Thanks to all the YEYS Ambassadors who have helped at the various open days and events in 2009 – we couldn’t hold these events without your great assistance.

More open days are planned in 2010, from 1 – 4pm and here are the dates for your diaries:

So long, farewell
Jess Barr, Jarrod Bailey, Paul McDowell and Belinda Wyard all finish their posting to Young Endeavour in 2010 and we wish them well for their future postings and careers. Amy Osborne also leaves the Marketing Manager position mid February 2010 to pursue a teaching career.
Salt-E Newsletter Dec 09 – July 2010

After 7 months of sailing adventures, the Young Endeavour completed her Australian Circumnavigation. Youth crew sailed to remote locations and visited spectacular regions of Australia such as the Kimberley; they battled huge weather conditions along the Western Australian Coast and the Great Australian Bight and won a race against tall ship Leeuwin sailing from Fremantle. It has been quite an action packed year!

Young Endeavour Wins Australian Sail Training Trophy

Young Endeavour won the Australian Sail Training Association 2009 Billy Can Trophy after winning a Tall Ship Regatta in Fremantle, Western Australia in October.
