What were you doing before joining Young Endeavour? I joined the Young Endeavour in December 2007 after spending 10 months on HMAS Manoora as an Officer of the Watch. I have been in the Navy for six years and have had postings on HMAS Stuart, Parramatta and Warrnambool. Prior to joining the Navy I have done various jobs, from white water rafting guide on the Tully River in North Queensland to 4WD tour guide out of Darwin and front office management at hotels around Australia. Excited and Terrified!
The prospect of sailing on the STS Young Endeavour for an 11 day voyage from Townsville to Cairns is stirring some mixed emotions in the two soon-to-be crew members from SKILLED Group, an Admiral 100 Club member.
Twenty-one year old Alece Tully is excited and terrified all at once. The branch coordinator for SKILLED’s Mount Gambier branch in South Australia has dipped her toe into adventure before, having tried abseiling, rock-climbing and skiing, however the Young Endeavour trip will really take Alece out of her comfort zone and this is the part she is looking forward to the most.
